On June 19, the Conservancy was thrilled to welcome Cuyahoga Valley National Park supporters to Meal in the Meadow, our first in-person fundraiser in over a year! Meal in the Meadow was a fun, new way to celebrate and support CVNP that allowed for social distancing in our beautiful national park.
Conservancy staff and volunteers greeted attendees and loaded their picnic bags (filled with a delicious 4-course meal from Spice Catering) and picnic blankets in cars. Attendees then had the option to join us in Howe Meadow for music, mingling, and have a socially-distanced dinner and s’mores with like-minded Conservancy friends.
Rubber City Reuse conducted their Zero Waste Concierge Service to divert as many materials from landfills as possible. We were able to divert 89% of the total waste from landfills!
We had a fantastic time celebrating and supporting CVNP with our wonderful supporters and are looking forward to the next time we can do it again!
Special thank you to our sponsors who made this event possible!
