Alex Bevan with the Akron Symphony Orchestra

May 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Alex Bevan

The Conservancy for CVNP and Akron Symphony Orchestra are thrilled to invite you to a special performance with Alex Bevan on May 18 at E.J. Thomas Hall. Prepare for a special night of music and storytelling, as only Ohio folk legend Alex Bevan can deliver. The show will feature a performance of Bevan’s Watersongs.

The evening celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC), where Alex was an artist in residence, creating songs to support youth environmental education through music. While working at the center, Alex led hands-on lessons in ecology and described his experience as a dream job of hiking around with kids and making up songs. His first recording of the song “All Rivers Run,” produced for the CVEEC, was done at Happy Days Lodge in CVNP 30 years ago.

We are grateful for the support from the Thomas and Lisa Mandel Family Foundation on this event.
