Ed Caner plus special guest Bill Lestock Trio @ Cuyahoga Valley National Park Concert Series

October 14, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Bill Lestock performs a compelling blend of bluegrass, old time, baroque and blues. His original instrumental mandolin music is best defined as “New Acoustic” or “Modern Acoustic”.

As a firefighter in Cleveland for 26 years, Bill incorporates melodies and imagery from a life and culture of firefighting. Accompanying musicians are percussionist Anthony Taddeo and Andrew Bonnis on the upright bass. Bill Lestock has been performing for more than two decades with the groups Under The Tree, Mo Mojo, Cats On Holiday, Charlie Wiener, Clearfork Bluegrass Band, Wallace Coleman and more. In 1984, Bill relocated to the East coast as a street performer, traveling between Portland, ME and Key West, FL. After playing music full time to being hired on to the Cleveland Fire Department in 1991, a new style of imagery was brought to Bill’s writing style. Bill’s mandolin playing and music is truly inspiring and unique in Northeast Ohio, mixing styles from baroque to bluegrass with interesting rhythms and originality.

Master fiddler Ed Caner has performed alongside dozens of local and national acts and is a founding member of his own band, Hey Mavis. For these intimate performances, Ed is joined by special musical guests Bill Lestock Trio for an unforgettable concert.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Concert begins at 7.
