CVNP Earth Day – Wednesday Session

April 20, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free
Join us in celebrating Earth Day on Wednesday, April 20th by removing invasive plants

Join us in celebrating Earth Day on Wednesday, April 20th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and help to give back and preserve one of your favorite public places – Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

Invasive species overcrowd native species, making it difficult for them to thrive, which in turn affects the wildlife in the ecosystem. Your efforts in this invasive plant removal project will help improve soil quality, restore native plants, and create better habitat for native wildlife.

Volunteers will use hand tools such as loppers and saws to remove invasive plants. Suitable for ages 10 and up. Volunteers who are 10-15 years of age must have parent or guardian supervision at the project site. Volunteers who are 16-17 years of age are only required to have a parent or guardian sign their Volunteer Agreement form.

**Advanced registration is required for all individuals. Only volunteers who pre-registered will be permitted to participate. Outdoor work gloves and eye protection will be provided, but to reduce contact, volunteers are permitted to bring personal equipment. Be sure to bring adequate water.**

For clubs, organizations, and corporate groups, please contact the volunteer office at volunteer@forcvnp.org to register.
