CVNP National Public Lands Day – Monday Afternoon Session

September 28, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free
Join us in celebrating National Public Lands Day on Monday, September 28th by planting native trees

Join us in celebrating National Public Lands Day on Monday, September 28th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and help to give back and preserve one of your favorite public places – Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

By planting trees, you are restoring the natural habitat of your park and benefiting the environment! You will use shovels to dig holes for native trees, hammer in stakes beside newly planted trees, and cover trees with deer tubes for protection. This project helps to fill in the tree canopy and creates less fragmented habitat for wildlife.

Volunteers who are 7-15 years of age must have parent or guardian supervision at the project site. Volunteers who are 16-18 years of age are only required to have a parent or guardian sign their Volunteer Agreement form.

**Advanced registration is required for all individuals. Group sizes are small, and have a strict attendance cap. Only volunteers who pre-registered will be permitted to participate. Registrants will be emailed a Volunteer Service Agreement, which must be completed and emailed back prior to September 28. Outdoor work gloves and eye protection will be provided, but to reduce contact, volunteers are permitted to bring personal equipment. Face masks are strongly encouraged. Be sure to bring adequate water.**

For clubs, organizations, and corporate groups, please contact the volunteer office at volunteer@forcvnp.org to register.
